
CEO, Ascendas Korea
Mr Lee Ho-Gil is the Chief Executive Officer of Ascendas Korea, responsible for managing and overseeing Ascendas’ investment portfolio in Korea and formulating the overall Korea strategies.
He has more than 25-years of experience in real estate business including acquisition and sales, asset management, lease management, development, real estate private equity and financing in Korea as well as overseas markets.
Prior to joining Ascendas, Mr Lee was the Chief Executive Officer and President of Jade Properties. He was responsible for fund management, investment, project development, portfolio management and divestment. From 2002-2008, Mr Lee was with GE Real Estate and was responsible for asset management and Six Sigma global strategic initiatives for Asia Pacific. He was based in Tokyo for almost half of his term with GE, as Managing Director of Asset Manaement. He also led the Asset Management team of GE Real Estate Korea for 3 years in Seoul.
Mr Lee started his career with Samsung Life Insurance, Korea’s largest Instiutional Investor, and spent 17 years with the company from 1985-2002. During his tenure, Mr Lee held various responsibilities in human resources, investment, asset management and portfolio management roles. He also led the real estate investment team and successfully pioneered Samsung Life’s first footprint in US, heading the real estate investment subsidiary in US from 1990-1995.
Mr Lee graduated from Kyungpook National University, Taegu (Korea) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 1985. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Yonsei School of Business, Yonsei University, Seoul (Korea) in 2006.
