Mr Lee Eng Beng graduated with First Class Honours in law from the National University of Singapore in 1992. Upon graduation, he served as a Senior Tutor with the Faculty of Law in NUS and a Justices' Law Clerk in the Supreme Court of Singapore. In 1994, he obtained the Bachelor of Civil Law postgraduate degree from Oxford University, with First Class Honours. He then served as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Law in NUS from 1994-1998.

From 1998 to date, Mr Lee has been a partner at Rajah & Tann LLP. From 2003 to 2009, he headed the firm's Business Finance and Insolvency Practice Group, with a strong focus on banking, insolvency and commercial litigation. He continues to be active as counsel and advisor for banks and financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, and distressed companies, as well as commercial litigation end arbitration. He was appointed Senior Counsel in 2008 and the Deputy Managing Director of Rajah & Tann LLP in 2009.
