Jen Kwong Hwa is Managing Director of Micron Semiconductor Asia. Jen joined Micron in Oct 1998 with the acquisition of Texas Instruments' memory business. He started his career with Texas Instruments Singapore in 1979 as engineer and held a series of increasingly responsible positions, including Engineering Manager, Quality Manager and Operations Manager before assuming the General Manager role in 1996. He was appointed to current position of Managing Director in Oct 1999.
Jen was born in Singapore and received his early education in Anglo Chinese School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Imperial College, London in 1979. He is married and has two children aged nineteen and twenty two.
Away from work, his interests include golf and electronics. He was a past member of the SQA Governing Council, Energy Market Authority and the Co-Chair of the Energy Sub-Committee of the Economic Strategies Committee.
He is currently a board member of Jurong Town Corporation and IM Flash Singapore, LLP.
